Elements of Competition & Eligibility Requirements

Age as of July 1st: Contestants must meet the age requirements for their respective division as of July 1st of the competition year.
 

Competition Elements

The competition consists of three judged categories, with the following weightings toward the overall score:

1. Interview – 40%

2. Fashion Wear – 30%

3. Evening Gown – 30%
    

Residency Requirements

• Contestants must meet one of the following residency criteria:

  • Be a current resident of the state they represent.

  • Attend school in the state they represent.

  • Have immediate family members residing in the state they represent.

• If a state title is already taken, contestants may represent a different state or region.

 

Additional Requirements:

• Contestants must be natural-born, genetic females.

• Contestants must not have posed nude in any form of film or print media.
   

Age Divisions
 

Junior Division:

• Petite: Ages 3–4

• Princess: Ages 5–7

• Pre-Teen: Ages 8–10

• Junior Teen: Ages 11–13
   

Teen Division:

• Teen: Ages 14–18

• Must be single with no children.
   

Miss Division:

• Miss: Ages 19–29

• Open to single or married individuals, with or without children.
   

Ms. Division:

• Ms.: Ages 30–49
   

Classic Division:

• Classic: Ages 50 and above
